'Not My Circus, Not My Monkeys' Polish Proverb/Idiom 1. Not one's personal responsibility or problem to deal with.

Not My Circus is a London-based production company, specialising in Cabaret, Burlesque, Circus and Sideshow theatrical performances. It was founded by Ruby Deshabille and Joe Morose, two of the most sought-after performers working on the UK cabaret scene today, and utilises their experience and connections to the top international artists available.

Whether you want a long-running production for a venue, or a pop-up, one-off show for a private/corporate event, Not My Circus and their collection of monkeys can provide it for you. We create bespoke entertainment designed specifically for your event's theme, style, size or occasion. Jugglers, singers, burlesque showgirls, fire-breathers, dancers, sideshow/freakshow acts, comedians, comperes and more circus monkeys than you can shake a stick at; you name it, we've got it. In short; it's your circus but not your problem.

Collectively, we have wowed crowds for, amongst others, AX Paris, Sony, Converse, Reebok, TripAdvisor, Selfridges, The Ritz, Coco De Mer, Laurent Perrier, Caravan, the BBC, Westfield London and for famous folk like Alan Carr, FKA Twigs, Zoe Ball and Fatboy Slim. We have also created bespoke shows for venues all across the UK, including the award-nominated 'High Societease; a history of Soho', for Kettner’s and the critically- acclaimed interactive cabaret 'The Silencing of Miss Scarlet' for Proud Cabaret London and Brighton.

Deshabille.

Noun 1. The state of being only partly-dressed. Verb 1. Undress, unclothe, strip. Feminine. Etymology: 17th Century: French, meaning 'undress'.

Ruby, a trained actress and showgirl ecdysiast, combines vintage glamour, impeccable musical taste, sensational costumes and occasionally left-field ideas in her breath-taking performances. Having sashayed her way across the stages of the UK and Europe for the last 10 years, Ruby is a highly-respected cabaret artiste, with a wealth of experience in performing and producing burlesque shows. A regular in all the largest cabaret venues in the country, she has been nominated for awards on either side of the curtain, including being producer of 'Best Ongoing Show' at the London Cabaret Awards 2015.

Morose.

Adj 1. Gloomily or sullenly ill-humoured as a person or mood. 2. Characterised by or expressing gloom.

Despite the name, Joe is actually a hoot. He trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts gaining a BA Hons in Acting. A relatively precocious child and adolescent, he began making people giggle professionally more than 10 years ago. In the last 4 years he has minced up the cabaret hall of fame and arrived at the other end as one of the top hosts in the capital, nominated for a London Cabaret Award as best compere. He is in residence at Proud Cabaret and Cafe De Paris, performs his solo show at Cellar Door Cocktail Club, and is regularly sought after to play the most prestigious venues up and down the country.

When not entertaining adults in dark rooms, Joe is an actor, writer, director and composer, who works extensively in theatre, film and television and has appeared in two premiere productions on London's West End. He has also been known to pen the occasional 5-star musical.
